About Our Barangay

Barangay Sabang

Barangay Sabang

Barangay Sabang is a vibrant community located in the northern part of Dasmariñas City, Cavite. The name “Sabang” comes from a local word meaning “to overflow,” inspired by the creeks that run through the area.

Historically, Sabang was a farming village known for its fertile rice fields. Over time, it has transformed into a modern residential barangay with subdivisions, schools, and local businesses. It is also famous as the birthplace of Leonardo “Nardong Putik,” a well-known folk hero. Today, Barangay Sabang continues to grow while preserving its strong sense of community and rich local history.
